We are getting married in Newcastle, can you come to us?
Yes. We are based in Bristol but we travel all over the country and even the world to film weddings and events. Depending on the distance there may be an additional travel cost so just let us know where and we will work it out for you.
How can guarantee our Wedding date with you?
Guaranteeing your wedding date is important to do as soon as possible as we often get booked up 18 months in advance for some dates. As soon as we have received your Booking Form and Deposit and agreed your package then your date will be guaranteed with us.
How do I book?
There are several ways to book, all of which require the Booking Form to be completed. The Booking Form can be completed here. We also require a booking fee of £200 which can be paid by cheque (payable to: White Villa Films Limited) or BACS and this will be deducted from the total cost of your package. Alternatively you can use the PayPal link here to pay your Booking Fee online.
What happens if I want to cancel my booking with you?
If you could send us written notification that you would like to cancel your booking with us we will then confirm your cancellation. Depending on when you cancel you will be liable for the following charges which are calculated as a percentage of your remaining balance: 30 days before wedding day = 90%, 31-60 days before wedding day = 70%, 61-90 days before wedding day = 50% and 91 or more days before wedding day = 30%.
Do we need to see you before our wedding day?
This is entirely up to you. Most couples are happy to talk through their requirements and details of their day over the phone and email but we are more than happy to have a meeting with you and talk through everything in person with you at any stage of your booking. With regards to wedding Photography bookings we strongly recommend meeting up before the wedding day so that it can be as relaxing as possible on the big day which is why we include a free Pre Wedding Shoot with every package.
What Is the ‘Creative Consultation’?
The ‘Creative Consultation’ is your chance to really personalise your film with your own creative stamp. It’s basically a form that asks what kind of music you want us to use in your film and where. What titles you would like to appear at the start and anything else that you would like us to do to personalise your wedding film. We can’t begin the editing of your wedding film without this form so it is a really vital document that we need in order to personalise and complete your DVD/Blu Ray.
What happens if you are unable to attend our wedding?
In the unlikely event that we are unable to attend your wedding we will make every effort with your approval to find a replacement photographer or videographer for you. And in the unlikely event that we need to cancel your booking we will refund any monies paid.
Are you insured?
Yes. As a responsible business we are insured by a photographic and video specialist insurance company who provide public liability, equipment and professional indemnity cover for us. Details of our policy are available on request by contacting us further.
Do you have any Terms and Conditions?
Yes. Please click here for a detailed list of our Terms and Conditions of booking.
Who do I make cheques payable to?
Cheques should be made payable to White Villa Films Limited.
When is the final balance due?
We know that there’s lots to budget and think about for your big day so we offer a long window before the final payment is due. We will send out a reminder for the final balance, which is due no later than 2 weeks before the wedding day.
Can I change the contents of any of your packages?
Every couple want something different from their wedding photography and film so our packages are starting points and if you want to change the elements of the main package then just let us know what you want to change and we will be more than happy to create a bespoke package for you. We also offer a variety of Special Features for our films and Albums and Prints for photography all of which can enhance your package further.
How long will the final wedding film be?
This varies depending on which package you choose. Generally we aim to create a film that lasts between 1hour and 1hour 45 minutes in duration.
Can we make changes to the wedding film?
Yes. With so many creative elements from choice of music to length of sequences to colouring and so on, it is more than likely that there is something that you will want to tweak. Our process allows for this by first of all sending you a ‘Proof DVD/Blu Ray’ which contains the main wedding film and nothing else, so no animated menus or special features. This is accompanied by our Proof DVD/Blu Ray Form which gives you space to write down any errors you notice or changes that you want to make. We will aim to make as many of those changes as possible for you before finalising the disc with all of your menus and special features.
Can we make changes to the photographs?
Yes. We will edit your images in great detail so that they are presented to you in the best way possible however if you want to have certain images cropped differently or coloured differently then simply get in touch with us and let us know. We want you to have the best photographs possible so if you think that they can be improved then please let us know!
How long until we receive our finished film?
Can I order extra DVD and Blu Ray copies?
Yes. The option to order additional copies is always available. Once your film is completed you will be able to purchase extra copies with various presentation cases to suit everyone in our online shop – perfect as a small gift to friends and family or as an additional copy for yourselves.
Can I order extra prints of my photographs?
Can I keep all of the wedding photographs on disc?
Yes. All of our wedding photography packages now include all of the edited images on a disc in high resolution JPEG format for you to keep, print and share. We grant our clients a Royalty-free personal use license agreement which allows unlimited use if the images are for personal use only and not for profit.
What equipment do you use?
We use High Definition video cameras to record on. These are Sony HDV tape cameras and offer a high resolution image for us to master your wedding film in. We also use Canon DSLR cameras for some elements of filming to bring additional creativity to your wedding production. These cameras also record in High Definition and on a memory card format. Using additional grip equipment such as fluid head tripods and Glidetrack system, we can create incredible shots that wouldn’t look out of place in a Hollywood film. Our Apple based NLE edit suites add the final touch with extensive graphics and effects to give your wedding film our unique look and feel.
Why have 2 cameras in every film package?
By using 2 cameras we have the ability to gain twice the coverage for particular scenes. This is used to full advantage during the ceremony and the speeches where we can film the main action as well as guest reactions for example. Generally it allows us to create a much more dynamic film which will ultimately capture more of your special day.
Can I have a Crane and Steadicam in my package?
If you are after a wedding film with cinematic grandeur then we can bring in additional equipment to achieve this for you. At an extra cost we can arrange the use of a jib crane to create rising camera movements that soar above your wedding venue. We can also arrange for a dedicated Steadicam operator to be on hand to create incredibly dynamic moving shots that smoothly float through crowds and track around the bride and groom with unparalleled elegance. Please contact us with your request and we will be more than happy to provide you with a quote.
